Providing medical support to the people of Ukraine devastated by Putin's barbaric invasion.
International
Putin has launched a devastating invasion of Ukraine, once again subjecting its people to the barbaric consequences of war.
The tide of refugees is only just beginning. Some are already too wounded to flee. They desperately need help.
We cannot stop Putin as individuals, but we can help the people he harms. All funds will be used to purchase medical supplies for the people of Ukraine either within the country or in refugee camps as they are established.
I am a proud Ukrainian citizen from Slovyansk (Donbass) who has lived in New Zealand for 16 years. My entire family remains in Ukraine and is fleeing the fighting. My family do not need money and absolutely none of the funds will be passed to them.
Medical supplies for the people of Ukraine
Final distributions 13 April 2022
Hi everyone
I wanted to send you a quick message to thank you all once again for your support and to tell you about our final distributions.
With your help, we have managed to raise an incredible $47,115.40 (after fees)! These funds have all now been distributed to people on the front lines in Ukraine and have made a real difference to people affected by this terrible war. On behalf of myself and people of Ukraine, thank you for your generosity and support!
Since the last update, we have made three final distributions:
$2,400 was paid to the Military Medical Centre in Lviv after four Russian rockets hit Lviv on 26 March.
$3,500 was paid to a team of volunteer doctors in Poltava on 30 March after the warehouse storing their medical supplies got destroyed by a Russian missile.
The balance of $6,278.45 was paid yesterday to a team of volunteers led by Olena Malenkova (a well-known volunteer in Ukraine, you can follow her on Twitter @realtyblogger). They will use the funds to source medical supplies which will be split between Kharkiv as to 1/3, and Kramatorsk and Slovyansk (which are expected to be the hotspot for the next phase of the war) as to 2/3 of that amount.
Thank you for making a real difference to the people affected by this terrible war.
