Meet Trooper — a tiny survivor who needs your help

$170 of $3,000 goal
Given by 7 generous donors in 5 days

I dont normally do this but times are tough and this wee boy needs our help and unfortunately I cant do it alone.

Taranaki

This little boy is Trooper. He was rescued from a very unsafe and neglectful environment where he had not been properly cared for. When he came into my care, he was severely malnourished — skin and bone — with almost no muscle tone. He was extremely weak and in desperate need of warmth, food, and gentle care.

Trooper had a vet visit today, and unfortunately the damage from neglect is becoming clearer. It looks like he may lose part of the tip of his ear. The tissue has died, and it may either fall off on its own or require surgical removal depending on how it progresses. He will need ongoing veterinary monitoring and possibly surgery.

Trooper is now safe, but he still has a long road ahead. He needs continued veterinary care, proper nutrition, and support to help him grow stronger and recover from such a difficult start to life.

I'm doing everything I can for him, but the vet bills and care costs are adding up quickly. I'm reaching out to ask for help so Trooper can get the treatment he needs and the chance at a healthy, happy life.

Any donation, no matter how small, would mean the world and go directly toward:• Veterinary checks and treatment• Possible ear surgery and follow-up care• Quality food and supplements• Warm bedding and ongoing care• Medication if required

If you’re unable to donate, sharing this page would also help Trooper immensely.

Thank you for helping give this brave little boy a second chance.— Trooper’s journey to recovery starts here

2% Effective Fee
On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
