Youth-Led Mental Health Project: Care to Self Care?
ME:flection - Youth-made wellbeing sticker pack encouraging daily wellbeing and reflection.

Meet Victoria (Year 12) and Angela (Year 9) Sung from Westlake Girls High School, the winners of Reconnect’s “Care to Self-care?” Youth Mental Health Competition.
Their idea, ‘Mirror Check-In’, has now been brought to life as ME:flection Stickers, in collaboration with Reconnect. These will be manufactured and shared with the community to inspire & support everyone in engaging in intentional movement.
The movement is to encourage youth to care for themselves and also extend that care outward to others.
ME:flection Stickers are small, transparent reminders placed on mirrors or windows to turn everyday moments i.e. like washing hands, brushing your teeth or getting dressed.. into opportunities for emotional reflection.
In a fast-paced world, they make self-care effortless, accessible, and part of your daily routine. Instead of asking for extra time or energy, these stickers transform ordinary routines into mindful check-ins. They are designed to implant micro moments of positivity, gently build emotional awareness, resilience and encourage kindness to self & others.

Reconnect is a charity focused on the wellbeing of Auckland’s youth.
Our mission is to be a bridge for young people to often overlooked areas through acts of kindness and service, creating a compassionate Auckland.
Use of funds
1. Print and share mirror check-in stickers for students, youth groups, libraries, and more across Auckland
2. Amplify youth voices and their creative solutions for self-care
3. Launch future campaigns that make mental health support simple and accessible

Continuing to raise funds to expand reach 9 December 2025
We are re-opening this page because we will continue to produce the ME:flection stickers to share with youth and various youth spaces such as schools, libraries and more.
We would like your support to reach our target goal to distribute and manufacture the wellbeing sticker pack.
We have finished packaging the Larger size ME:flection Sticker Pack and have begun distributing in public spaces.
We are still finalising the Smaller size ME:flection Sticker Pack. This will be freely distributed to youth.
