Melia Fale

$390 donated
Given by 9 generous donors in 13 weeks

Melia was diagnosed with influenza 6 weeks ago and has been in hospital ever since, her and her family have a long road to recovery ahead.

Manawatu / Whanganui

1 year old Melia Fale, cherished daughter of Nickol Baker and Tai Fale, was taken to hospital 6 weeks ago and diagnosed with influenza. The virus caused inflammation to the brain which caused her to have seizures, as a result the doctors had to put her into a coma. Melia is now awake and is on the mend but she will need to be in hospital for a while longer. Melia has to now re-learn how to walk, talk and eat again. As a result of Nickol spending so much time at the hospital she has since lost her job and to make things worse their car was stolen while they were in the hospital. The money raised will go towards helping ease the financial stresses of having a child in the hospital and to help get their car back.

Nickol is a close family friend and my little sister Tonyas best friend. We decided this would be a great way to help them out as we cannot be there with them as Nickol is currently living in Australia.
