Mel is shaving off all her hair to fundraise for Endo Warriors Aotearoa
Auckland
I'm Mel, a woman in tech, model, content creator, and multiple chronic illness warrior.
In March 2022, I will be shaving all of my long hair off to raise funds for Endo Warriors Aotearoa.
After a 14 year long battle, I am one of the lucky few in an estimated 120,000 people in NZ to be in remission from Endometriosis, a chronic condition where cells similar to the lining of the uterus grow elsewhere in the body. There is no currently no cure for this painful condition.
I am extremely thankful to be pain free for well over a year now. I had life changing surgery by a renowned specialist to remove Stage 3 Deep Infiltrating Endo from everywhere in my lower abdomen. I'll be shaving off my long locks to raise funds for Endo Warriors Aotearoa, a charity created by a fellow warrior with Endometriosis.
The founder of EWA and is one of the most selfless humans I know. She has created this charity to support all those with endometriosis regardless of age, sex or where they are on this journey. EWA is a not for profit organization aimed at promoting period and endometriosis education and ending period poverty.
Any contribution will be greatly appreciated. Even if you are unable to donate, I would appreciate you sharing this link or educating yourself on Endometriosis.
It might be one of the worst invisible illnesses to have, but support is there.
Please reach out to Endo Warriors Aotearoa if you are in need of period packs.
Love and thanks from a friendly Endo Warrior,
Mel
I'm raising funds for Endo Warriors Aotearoa - started by a fellow Endo Warrior, who was a light in the darkness when I was going through tough times with my disease.
Supporting Endo Warriors Aotearoa to enable them to keep providing education around endometriosis and free period packs to those in need
