Help raise funds to pay for funeral costs and organise a memorial for a much loved Husband, father, son, brother and so much more.
Auckland
Those who know John or have kept up with him in the last year, will know that he had been sick for some time due to a very rare condition. During the COVID-19 level lockdown John contracted an infection that unfortunately proved too much for him to fight off.
On the early hours of April 6th 2020 John passed away peacefully at the young age of 38.
Due to the level 4 restrictions, a normal funeral was not possible and instead could only be attended by those in John's bubble. His wife Keri, their daughter and his mother in law. They have costs associated with this that I would like help ease the stress of.
We'd also like to have a memorial once the restrictions have lifted, so that our his wife, daughters, his mum, family and friends can all get together and say farewell properly. Given everything that is going on I was hoping that setting up this page may help raise funds to make this possible. Please do not feel obligated to make a donation, but if you can, anything is appreciated.
If we raise enough that there is excess left over, I'd love for Keri and her family to use this as needed.
Sister in Law to Keri, and Sister to John Baker.
The funds will be used to organise a memorial for John after the COVID-19 restrictions are lifted. Any excess funds will be used by Keri and Shavaughn as they wish.
