Helping my 15-year-old indoor cat, Menace, get the scans and veterinary treatment she needs to find out what's making her sick.

For the past 15 years, Menace has been my constant companion. She's an indoor cat who's been by my side through so much of my life, and now she needs my help.

She's become unwell, and the next step is a full diagnostic scan to find out whether she has lymphoma or another serious condition. The scans alone are expected to cost between **NZ$300 and NZ$600**, and any treatment she needs afterward will depend on the results.

Like many people, I simply wasn't prepared for an unexpected veterinary bill of this size. I'm asking for help so that I can give Menace every chance to get a diagnosis and the care she deserves.

Every donation, no matter how small, will go directly toward her veterinary costs. If you're unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser would mean just as much.

Use of funds

Your donations will help pay for Menace's diagnostic scans (estimated at NZ$300–600), specialist veterinary appointments, medications, treatment, and any follow-up care recommended once a diagnosis is made, cat toys.

Addendum! 2 July 2026

Any funds that exceed her scans and treatment will be used to make the end of her life as comfy as possible, whether it's a good or bad outcome. New cat tree, better quality food, autofeeders, new toys etc.
