Supporting Kiwi Men

$340 donated
Given by 6 generous donors in 8 weeks

A central hub for kiwi men to find support, resources and tools to help navigate through the tough times and live a happy successful life.

Taranaki

Men’s Hub is being created to provide a space for men where they can connect with others, find help and support and gain knowledge on various topics from men’s health to finding advice and information for family matters, relationships and more. This will be in the form of a website, an android and iphone app for easy access, live events and a podcast.

After surviving a serious heart attack and stroke along with a few other not so great life situations I soon realised that men can struggle with life issues such as relationships, depression, trying to navigate difficult times and more. After experiencing great loss due to my heart attack and stroke, I have had to navigate my way back to some resemblance of a life again. This has presented many challenges which I have managed to find solutions too. It is my desire to share these solutions with other men to empower them to understand their value along with the support they may need.

I decided to create this website and begin to search New Zealand to find support for kiwi men and provide access to it in one place. After searching for men’s support groups, it became obvious that while there is help, this is not always easily found.

I would like to make this a full-time project in order to provide the best and most comprehensive resource for helping kiwi men.

Sony Camera for Men's Hub Interviews  21 May 2025

Hi, I just want to say again a big thank you for your support. After much consideration, I have decided to use the funds to put towards the purchase of the Sony camera. It is vital that useful content is added to Men's Hub and our podcast interviews have been on hold. We have some great people lined up to interview providing some valuable information to men throughout New Zealand. I have paid the balance of the camera from my personal income so these interviews can get underway. After a lot of research this was the most cost effective camera that was suitable for filming interviews. Again, thank you for your support in helping men throughout New Zealand.

I can't afford much right now but support your initiative 1000%, we lost my cousins husband just over a year ago to mental health, the destruction in the wake has been catastrophic. If only he had more support or where to get it. There is a stigma that men should be tough and resilient and so many suffer in silence. Thank you for this!!! It's needed and it's going to help a lot of people 🩵
