Supporting youth and their families.

Bay of Plenty

The ImpacTauranga Mentoring Programme is a client-centered, strength-based, one-on-one mentoring programme designed to support a young person towards long term, sustained behaviour changes.

The programme is designed to provide role models for at risk young people, who are in need of a positive influence in their lives. These are young people who currently fas or at risk of facing negative outcomes including academic failure, substance abuse, harmful peer-relationships and other problematic behaviours.

The initial support will be for 8 weeks at 2 hours per week. Subsequent support will be determined at the conclusion of the initial period and in consultation with the young person, their family and ImpacTauranga

About us

Our hope is that every whanau will feel heard, seen and empowered as together we discover a plan of healing and support. This could include:

- Family support

- Mentoring

- Respite care for children/youth

- wraparound services

Use of funds

The money will be spent on sponsoring a child or teen to have access to their first 16 hours (8 weeks) of our mentoring programme.
