  • Back in Thailand continuing treatment

    Hello everyone, we would like to thank you for your continued support.

    Unfortunately, about a week after Michelle arrived back home in New Zealand, she started seeing signs of the cancer growing again. Her cancer is incredibly aggressive, so Michelle decided to come back to Verita life clinic in Thailand for 3 more weeks to continue some of the treatments and to try a new one that is aimed to help her inflammatory breast cancer.

    Although the results are still uncertain, we remain hopeful and optimistic that Michelle can fight this.

    As you can imagine the cost of coming back to Thailand and the new treatments are coming at a huge financial burden for Michelle and Chris so we will continue fundraising to help support them.

    Thank you for the kind messages and donations that we have received thus far.

  • Heading home with good results

    After 6 weeks of treatment Michelle's had some amazing results.

    Her breast tumour halved in size, 2/4 lung nodes disappeared and all her cancerous lymph nodes are gone.

    She was nearly wheelchair bound before she got to Thailand and now she's walking freely and has been swimming most days.

    She just arrived back in New Zealand with an on-going home treatment plan and the Dr expects the tumours to keep shrinking over the coming months.

    Michelle and the family would like to thank you for all your support over the last 6 weeks!

  • Nearly home time!

    Hi all,

    Thanks so much for all the support.

    We are awaiting scan results and will update this page when we get them.

    We are nearing the 6 week treatment completion, a decision will be made shortly if it needs to be longer but the travel arrangements have started for Michelle and Chris' return, as you can imagine having to book last minute is really expensive.

    We have applied to givealittle to have our goal set to open to help with the ongoing cost this all entails.

  • A positive update!

    Just over a week ago Michelle had some results come back from a tumour marker test and... The results have been incredible! One result has halved which means she's responding to the treatment very well.

    On Monday she received a second result from another tumour marker test and guess what? It has gone down yet again! The Dr has said that her numbers are just about in the normal range.

    She is now on her 5th week which means she has two weeks of treatment here in Thailand to go (all going well!).

    We are so incredibly blessed for your messages of love, support and your donations. Thank you to everyone. We hope we have more positive updates in the next couple of weeks to give you all.
