To help fundraise for funeral costs for Michelle.
Manawatu / Whanganui
Michelle (Shelly) was a wife, a mother of 6, and a Nana to 6 beautiful babies. Unfortunatley Shelly lost her hard, long and brave battle of life on March 30th 2019. Shelly had a pretty rough start to life. At 24 she was the youngest in NZ to have a full hip replacement and then 15 years ago Shelly was diagnosed with cervical cancer. Because of this she underwent a full hysterectomy. Unfortunatley the surgery was never a success. The cancer was gone but Shelly had a mishap in surgery where the doctor sewed her bowels to another organ. This led to her having to have mesh put it in her stomach. For the next 15 years Shelly was in and out of hospitals, asking for answers, but to her avail she was always shrugged off. Her weight dropped so much over the last 12 months she was only as heavy as a small teenager. Finally after all these years she was heard and was rushed for an urgent scan in Wellington Hospital. Ultimitley Shelly developed a major infection and couldnt be saved. No more than a month after this, Shelly passed away peacefully with close family.
Funds raised will go towards funeral costs and anything over will be used to fight for justice for her. have a lawyer in process of sorting paper work for lawyer he hasn't talked a fees yet as hes still telling me all the stuff i need. He will have to more likely do an appeal for more notes, malpractice and go ACC for lose of wife and if system.
thank you very much
