The tumour is aggressive high grade malignancy involving large tracheal mass and cavatating the right lung. At present the tumour is causing breathing difficulties, and is placing vital organs under extreme stress. Urgent treatment including Radiation is complete and Chemotherapy continues This will relieve the situation to allow Michelle more time.

On 26 March 2014 I was flown from Hastings Hospital to Auckland Hospital for a EBUS bronchoscopy. Aspiration performed with provisional cytology reported as high grade malignant material. I was seen acutely in private sector, Urgent medical attention was required and I was sent to Auckland Hospital for admission on 28th March 2014.. two days out from my 49th birthday.. Primary Diagnosis Large cell Neuroendocrine tumour - lung origin. So close family and friends were told of the news and as sad as it was we gathered together and tried to make sense of it all.. and saw doctors to see where we go from here..... Having my birthday in ward 64 was on the top of my family's list and that we did WELL 5 birthday cakes, lots of people, the ward wad full I shared all the cakes with everyone in hospital.... it was fantastic... the ward staff were amazing thank you ward 64 Auckland hospital.....
