Raising funds to help reduce financial stress for rare cancer
Nationwide
Give a little
On the 13th of December last year I got the news no one wants. After 6 months of back and leg pain and multiple scans I was diagnosed with a Sarcoma. After a biopsy it was confirmed as Ewings Sarcoma EWS R1 Positive a rare type of bone and soft tissue cancer in my pelvis area.
My treatment plan involves 14 cycles of chemotherapy and 31 cycles of radiation. The chemotherapy is VDC (7 cycles) alternating with IE (7 cycles) which is inpatient at Waikato Hospital. The chemotherapy is every fortnight and each cycle lasts 3-5 days. The radiation treatment is every day over 5 days for 6 weeks also at Waikato Hospital.
Due to the time I have had / need to have off for my treatments my mum has offered to shave her head to raise some money in support of the cost of my treatment and ongoing costs I have as I can no longer work.

Round 14 Chemo Update 2 November 2025
I have 1 more round left. It will hopefully be the week of the 10th of November. I need to be healthy enough so I’ve had 3 weeks off chemo by the time that comes around. They are also going to give me 75-80% of the dose so hopefully I’m not too sick afterwards. Unfortunately after each round of chemo I receive my body is taking longer and longer to recover and plenty of ED visits have occurred in between. I can’t wait to get this last round over and done with!!!
