Mike Wright gave his all to Dunedin especially our tertiary students. We can help Sheryl his wife in her time of grief and need.
Otago
Mike Wright was the chaplain at Otago Polytechnic and Otago University. He was also finishing a PhD in education.
Mike died suddenly after a short and very aggressive illness. He leaves behind his beloved wife Sheryl and three grown up children. Mike's untimely and sudden death will be felt all around our city but none more than with his family. Sheryl will not only have to deal with the death of her life-partner but deal with the practicalities of large expenses and decreased income.
Mike has blessed many hundreds of people through his selfless, compassionate and engaged ministry. I am confident that those who have been blessed by Mike will respond generously to support Sheryl with a financial gift. Many people have asked me how they can help - here is one way. Thanks for taking the time to check this opportunity out and thanks for your gift.
I am pleased to have set up this page on behalf of Sheryl Wright. I have known Mike ever since I came to Dunedin 15 years ago he was then the chair of NEV Normal School and I joined the board shortly afterwards. Mike has been a good friend of our church leaders leaders retreats and helping our leaders through some challenging times with wise advice. He was a good friend of Workplace Support where I have worked and was a teacher at the BCNZ Dunedin Branch when I was teaching there. Mike is a long time valued member of the NEV community. Sheryl grew up in the Valley Baptist church and her parents have been longtime members with the Valley Baptist Church. I am therefore glad to support this cause and ask you to give generously in memory of Mike and in support of Sheryl
The funds will be given to Sheryl with no strings attached.
