    Hi Millers Movement Community,

    We hope you have all had a restful holiday and enjoyed time with family and friends.

    We never knew where this journey would go or what amount we could ever achieve.

    With love, support and generosity of many businesses, groups of people, amazing initiatives from individuals and groups to run their own events and individuals we have been able to raise $51,369.62.

    With much reflection and discussions Chad and I have decided that Millers first birthday is the best time to donate all the money to starship, what this looks like is up to Starship to ensure the kids are safe, no matter what this looks like you will be apart of the journey. Updates will be posted on Millersmovement Instagram and Facebook pages.

    With all this we are closing this give a little page on 19th March, one month before Millers Birthday to allow for all funds to be available on her birthday.

    It’s our last chance to dig deep, for NZ kids!

    Milestone #4

    I can’t believe that we have hit another milestone for Starship! They desperately need resources to help children of New Zealand! ❤️ Together we are making such a difference! ❤️❤️❤️ I can’t wait to get our final total in a few months and liaise with Starship and give them all of this money for the resources that they need so desperately ❤️ They helped Miller and now Miller’s Movement is helping others! Thank you, thank you, thank you! It doesn’t make this road any easier to walk, sometimes it makes it harder, but it is worth the steps to make our girls legacy live on ❤️

    We are in the mist of amazing fundraisers!

    We have over 9 schools and 4 kindys raising funds for Miller’s Movement.

    We have 2 amazing raffles doing with over $3000 worth of prizes to be one in each one!

    We have Mount CrossFit doing a fundraiser 30,000 calories in one day to raise funds for Miller’s Movement

    We have individuals doing work outs and singing events to raise awareness and funds!

    Miller’s Movement is made up is so many amazing people! Including you!

  • Miller's Movement- We reached our 3rd Milestone!

    Hi Miller's Movement Community,

    Wow 3rd Milestone! We are making such a difference together! Chad and I are so grateful for all the love and support. We miss Miller everyday and every share, message and donation reminds us of the love she brought to us, how strong she was in hospital and even though she is gone, she is bringing people together and reminding us that life is precious! Thank you for helping us help NZ kids! ❤️

    Starship are now able to purchase 2 specialist cots and $10,000 of specialist therapeutic resources to help children.

    Together we can make a huge impact, for our New Zealand children and families!

  • Sharing our story with the Nation

    Today we took a leap and shared our story with the nation. It’s not easy to share our story, but Miller taught us a lot of things including the true meaning of love and to be strong.   • Starship Update ❤️

    We have heard from Starship!

    After being overwhelmed with your generosity we have had further discussions with Starship and we have asked what else do they need for our New Zealand children and what costs are involved.

    Here is what they need to help our children!

    An outline of money and possibilities for Starship to spend the money on!

    Yes some Milestones are a large sum, but I couldn’t think of a better place to invest. Invest in NZ kids futures ❤️

    Milestones:

    1# $8010 - Able to buy a cot

    2# $16,020- Able to buy 2 cots

    3# $26,020- Able to buy 2 cots and therapeutic play resources

    4# $34,030- Able to buy 3 cots and therapeutic play resources

    5# $42,040- Able to buy 4 cots and therapeutic play resources

    6# $60,220- Able to buy a cot and a MRI injector

    7# $70,220- Able to buy a cot, therapeutic play resources and a MRI injector

    8# $85,755.75 - Able to buy a cot and a Nicolet Neurodiagnostic System

    9# $95,755.75 - Able to buy a cot, therapeutic play resources and a Nicolet Neurodiagnostic System

    10# $148,010- Able to buy a cot and fund a project for implementing a multi-agency system to improve priority for patients.

    Cost of items Starship require;

    $8010 - Cots (each)

    $10,000 - Therapeutic play resources (to support children’s rehabilitation).

    $52,210 - MRI injector (Injects a dye into children intravenously. The contrast medium enhances the image quality and allows the radiologist more accuracy and confidence in their diagnosis).

    $77,745.75 - Nicolet Neurodiagnostic system (monitors neonates brain activity).

    $140,000- Project for implementing a multi-agency system to improve priority for patients

    The ECMO machine that Miller was on for 8 days is also a critical machine to support COVID-19. As the ECMO machine is a heart and lung bypass and allows the heart and lungs to rest while the body gets stronger. Starship only have 3 of these machines and the minimum time is 5 days on the ECMO machine. This scares me, we were one of the families that almost missed out.

    Our New Zealand children need our help now, so that the care is there in the future x

    Hi all,

    Thanks to the first 119 donators. We have made our first Miller Movement Milestone of $8010 for a cot for Starship!

    But we are not stopping here!

    We have emailed Starship to see what else they require and where they would like to spend the money and how much they would need.

    Together we are making a huge difference, for our NZ Kids!
