Millie’s Ride To Worlds

Hi everyone,

I’m Millie Donald and I’ve been given the amazing opportunity to race at the 2025 MTB World Championships in Valais, Switzerland.

I broke my arm back in February meaning I missed out on defending my Junior XCO National and Oceania title. These events are the most important for MTB selections and because of my inability to even compete I didn’t believe it would be possible for me to be selected.

In a turn of events I did get selected which I am extremely grateful for. I am excited to give the MTB World Champs a 2nd go and improve on my less than satisfactory result from last year. I aim to do everything I can to ensure I am as fit and strong as I can be.

Unfortunately, strength and motivation aren’t enough and to get myself there. This trip will be fully self funded. I am currently working at my local bike shop as well as training and preparing for the big day. Any support offered through this page will be hugely appreciated and would give me the chance to prove myself on the big stage.
