Min Whistlers fight for her life.

  • Thank you so much from Min & Paul

      25 June 2018

This is Min's personal Update that she sent to me to pass on to everyone:

I am recovering well from what can only be described as an agonising and traumatising event for my family in particular.

I can now walk with a stick and even get around the caravan unaided - feels so good! Paul is getting on with his usual caravan activities but still shows wonderful care for me as I get very tired and have frequent dizzy spells. He is so grateful to his family for their help, care and love over the period I was in ICU and also for the many calls of support from friends. He could not have managed without the incredible support from all.

As for me, I am humbled by the love and support of everyone - humbled and enormously grateful! I am so fortunate to have the family I've got and wonderful friends. Thank you everyone from the bottom of our hearts.

    God bless you all

    Min and Paul Whistler

  • How Min's doing.

      26 May 2018

Hi everyone just thought I'd let you know what's been happening with Min.

On Wednesday 09th May Min was released from Christchurch Hospital and moved to Burwood in Christchurch for rehabilitation.

Then was realeased from here on Wednesday 16th of May to once again be on her adventure with Paul in their caravan.

Recovery is going to be long and they will take each day as it comes.

Min tires very easily and takes time to walk with the assistance of a walker.

Thank you all once again if you have donated and for your lovely messages.

  • Best News Ever - Min is awake.

      25 April 2018

On Monday morning we got the most wonderful news that Min had woken up. We are just "So Happy" to have her back with us.

Even though it's probably going to be a long road to recovery we are just glad she's woken up.

Min can't talk due to the tracheotomy still being in but she has been communicating with basic eye contact and nodding and hand/arm movements.

How lucky are we - "incredibly lucky" we all say.

Thank you to everybody who has donated and sent messages. We greatly appreciate all your love and support during these tough times.

So "THANK YOU" all from the bottom of our heart.
