    A few of you have emailed as I had the wrong date on the original post. That has been updated SO just to double confirm with you all that the celebration party is on the 4th October. Doors open from 7.30pm. Performance surprises beginning around 8.30.

    Look forward to seeing you soon in Costume if you are up for it or just as you are. It will be a great night!!!

  • PARTY CELEBRATION - WILD ANIMAL

    Hi everyone. You are all invited to a celebration event to thank you for your generous donations and to celebrate where Maria is at the good news is THAT SHE IS IN REMISSION - this is the best news ever and we want to celebrate.

    Whilst she is in remission we are still keen to finish off the campaign with the aim to getting to 20K as it is Marias aim to stay well with the treatment she has already begun and this will enable her to go forward with 4 years of this natural treatment plan.

    SO we are having a party. If you have already donated you are invited to join us at this celebration free of charge and we also encourage you to forward this onto anyone else that will enjoy this event. We encourage you to bring friends who can offer a small koha on the door. The party will be an evening of FUN, its a DRESS UP and we are having performances throughout the evening and a special auction where gifted treats will be auctioned off.

    AGAIN thank you all for your amazing donations and we look forward to seeing you at the party, a night aimed to be fun and to share with anyone in the spirit of spring fun and friendship. At the door just mention that you are a give a little donator and you will not have to pay the koha. We look forward to seeing you there. 4th October 7.30pm San Fran Bath House.

  • Update from Maria - TRANSPLANT TIME!!!

    Dear All

    Thank you for your most genourous donations - very kind words and wonderful support - it is truly amazing - I am totally chuffed, overwhelmed at times but most of all buoyed by your support to get better and to beat this thing!

    So am in Waikato hospital on the fifth floor in the Menzies building. Or more commonly known as the Hamilton Health Spa - It's just like days of our lives...... They already gave me two dinners on one night, (the food is occasionally good) - i'm in a private room with a television and en suite - (maybe I should move in). Saw a patient chained to a guard with a mega hand cuff. And after reading the consent form for chemo administration - I just about ran all the way back to Tauranga - leaving nothing but my smoking footprints on the cold hospital lino........ I'm awaiting the day when you lie on a table and a quick zap with some micron re-addlelizer cures all ills. They can do this on Star Trek why not here?

    I have just had all my stem cells returned (day two) this process only takes an hour - the nurse basically injects the stem cells back into your body with a massive syringe via a picc line in your arm - this felt kind of weird - three bags of blood back into my body. So what will happen now is all my blood cells are dying from the high dose chemo treatment and are flushing out. The returned immature stem cells will develop and grow and repopulate my entire system. Quite fascinating stuff!

    I am being looked after very well by all the lovely staff, family and friends too!

    Again thank you sensational people - for making my life better!

  • Fundraiser at UNITEC

    3rd year Students from Unitecs Performing and Screen arts course majoring in Dance have organised that proceeds from their up coming show 1&2 by 3 go towards Marias Give a Little Campaign. Maria is thrilled and extremely touched by this gesture. Maria Choreograhped on these students when they were in their 1st year of training - and so it is a very special exchange that they will now dance for her.

    So head along to their show and support Maria whilst at the same time enjoying the creativity and talents of the incredible 3rd Year students.

    Responding to the provocation of solo and duet choreography, the students engage in physical and intimate exchange and solitary expertise. Accompanied by music ranging from classical to hip hop, 1 & 2 by 3 is not to be missed.

    All the proceeds from 1 & 2 by 3 ticket sales will be donated to her campaign.

  • Stem Cell Harvest complete

    Maria has been through the stem cell harvest and will be having the transplant process in June. She was in good spirits for the harvest... she nik-named the harvest machine the vampire tardus....
