Help our wonderful mate Hamish with his recovery from cancer.
International
As you may know Mish has had emergency surgery for intestinal cancer. He went in on Tuesday for diagnostic tests and was rushed to surgery immediately. We are waiting to find out what the Surgeons found, but right now he's in post surgery recovery - and a lot of pain.
We are hoping that the surgery was a success and that his recovery will be swift, but he may have a long journey ahead. He hasn't been able to work for weeks and doesn't have close friends there to help once he gets out of hospital.
This Givealittle page is about trying to do whatever we can to help him financially when we're not there to help him physically.
Many of us have voiced that perhaps he should come home to recover, however Mish's reason for living is his beautiful daughter, Avery, so he is adamant that he needs to be there. We can only hear and respect his wishes on this, and do what we can to support him in his time of need.
It's times like this that we realise how much of a difference we can make to the quality of life of a wonderful person like Mish at a desperate time in his life.
As anyone who knows Mish knows, he's a great guy with a cheeky grin, a warm heart and a wicked sense of humour. I feel lucky to call Mish a good friend, as I know many others do too and we wouldn't wish what he's going through on anyone.
If you are able to Give a little please do.

Contributing towards the cost of Mish's emergency surgery and follow up care. Paying his rent and other bills while he's unable to work. Possibly paying for a friend or family member to go over and help him or for him to fly home.
December 2019 - Update 7 December 2019
Hi folks,
It's been too long since the last update, my apologies! I've just spoken to Mish and he's battling on. First off he asked me to express his gratitude and appreciation for all the support and donations he has received from everyone to date. Thank you!
His Immuno-therapy treatment caused major side effects which he is still recovering from and is on some heavy-duty painkillers daily. It has also affected his liver, so that is being monitored too.
He's still unable to work, drive, go out for any length of time or live a normal life. He has regular blood tests and check-ups to monitor his liver, immune-response, blood clotting issues, bowel and inflammation levels.
He's working hard to see Avery as much as possible and keep positive while he recovers to a level where more treatment is possible.
Please keep the good will coming and spread this page on social media - the journey's not over yet! If you have a minute in this crazy festive season, please do send a message or call him for a short chat, he'd love to hear your news.
Kia Kaha Mish. x
