According to UNICEF, 35% of the people involved in the sex industry are UNDER 16 YEARS old, and that trade is around 500 million dollars a year. And human trafficking and sexual exploitation are the fastest growing crimes in the WORLD! Most of the victims are introduced into this sex industry at a very young age, do not attend schools or learn trade, which makes them believe that they can do nothing but sex. That is why they feel trapped in this network of exploitation to guarantee their own livelihood and generally the sustenance of their families.

THE PORT BRASIL will be a restaurant / school and will generate jobs and training for women and adolescents of productive age who want to leave prostitution, with decent and fair wages. The profit made on this venture will be to subsidize education for them and their children according to the need and ability of each individual. Sihanoukville was the region chosen to implement the employability center. It will be built on a seafront lot on a very popular beach, Otress. Porto Brasil will begin its work with a juice house, until it obtains resources to be enlarged and become a hostel, where there will be more job vacancies and sustainability of the educational program. We already have a rented and renovated place to meet the initial need, with an empty kitchen, a living area for interaction between the workers and the women and children assisted by the program, and spaces for housing and hospitality.
