Mitch has had a tough year since his diagnosis of bowel cancer in 2015 but now he has an even more serious diagnosis.
Southland
In the past year Mitch has been through bowel surgeries, chemotherapy and subsequent abdominal surgery for kidney swelling and ureter blockage. He has been on a roller coaster and has been actively part of the ride. Recently things look as if they have changed. The ongoing pain has become a challenge, his kidney required a stent, and in the last week there has been the further news of the spread of the disease into his peritoneum.
Mitch is in the prime of his life and has the backing of a loving family and partner who will literally do anything for him. Mitch is optimistic and has a life that is worth fighting for but is aware that his illness may be terminal and there are many things he and Kiana have to do and experience together.
This is why this give a little page is set up. It's sole purpose is to raise the funds needed so Mitch and Kiana can have the freedom to do the things they want and need to do.
I am a friend of the family and can see the importance of this fundraising to ensure Mitch has some of the great experiences life has to offer.
