Nationwide
Mitchell has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy which is a medical condition that causes progressive musscle weakness, eventually leading to an early death.
We have been given the chance to attend a drug trial in Australia that could potentially help him walk for longer and live longer. This involves approximately 18 trips over the next 3 years.
Most of the financial costs are covered but there are some expenses that we need to cover, for instance travel insurance, food, vehicle costs and other associated costs.
Mitchell has a younger brother and 2 younger sisters and he loves to play outside with them. unfortunately he struggles to keep up to their energy levels.
Mum is kept busy with medical appointments and docters visits, while Dad works shift work.
Next trip 31 October 2014
wow thanks every one for the support every little cent means a lot to Mitchell and our family. He begins his next trip to Sydney tomorrow (1st November). He's very excited and can't wait. He has also just spent the last week at his school camp at mountain valley by the mohaka river he is absolutely shattered and slept for about 12 hours on the last night so hopefully this next trip doesn't take to much out of him. Once again thank you all that have donated.
