Vet couldn't of been happier with Memphis, healing incredibly well, his wounds look great, everything normal and awesome cone only when unattended and then in another week we should be able to get rid of it!! xrays have been brought forward to 6 weeks, said we were remarkable with how well we were doing with crating him and it's making all the difference. So only 5 weeks to go now to check his bones 😁😁😁SO SO proud of him 🥰🥰

He's done pretty good today, he's not drinking but he's eating. He's very swollen and all his dark red bruising coming out!! I think he's had enough of me pointing the ph at him for photos so it was a cuddle and sleep day for him 🥰

  • 1st Day after Surgery

Memphis had a much longer surgery then expected. 4 hours all up Pins and plate put in place overs the breaks and tissue from his tummy to graft it.

His night in hospital afterwards went ok and they were happy with his progress enough for us to bring him home this afternoon. He was very happy to see us as we were him.

He has to be in a crate for 8 weeks as in that recovery time it's crucial that he rest so no risk of loosening pins or plate or we are back to square 1.

He has fentonyl patch on stronger then before the the awful cone so he can't get to the patch or his wounds as he has 3.

We are back to the vet in 7 days.

Thankyou all so very very much for your kindness, it has changed our lives and situation in such a positive comforting way. Will get some pictures for you tomorrow, thankyou again. 🥰

  • Memphis has gone into surgery

      13 November 2024

Memphis has gone into surgery. His femur is a bit if a mess. He need a rod the length of his femur, screws to hold all his broken bits together, a plate and the taking tissue from his tummy to graft around it all.

All going well it will be an 18 week recovery time, first 8 weeks crucial he rests. Trays to monitor the healing and they may or may not depending on how secure it all us go in at avlatrr date yo take it all out again. Hopefully not though. Just patiently waiting now to hear the outcome.

Thankyou all so much for your donations. Means so very very much to us 🥰
