Moana Party for the Children’s Ward!

To raise funds for a Moana themed party for the medically fragile children of Hawke’s Bay.
As you all know whenever someone around me is sick or sad I like to cheer them up with cupcakes!
Recently my friend Karamea’s brother got diagnosed with Neuroblastoma - he’s a 3 year old that’s had a tumour removed and continues to undergo chemotherapy. Because chemo makes you so nauseous, Te Houkurareo probably won’t have much of an appetite for my cupcakes right now - but I still want to do something special for him!
I know he loves Moana and I saw that Vaughan Smith (radio DJ) threw August a birthday party with a Moana entertainer and I thought it was perfect! So the idea is to throw a Moana party, but to extend this to more of the children in the children’s ward at Hastings hospital. I have a couple of beautiful friends ready to help out with things like face paint and cake - cause what’s a party without those - however the entertainer I would hire for the event needs to be paid - this including flights. I’m hoping $1000 will easily cover this, plus some pretty cool party bags for the kids, and everything else that comes with the best party in the world.
Anything helps - even 50c! And if you can’t financially help but think you can contribute something else to the party, let me know!
I’m just working with a play specialist from the hospital to organise dates and the finer details, but thought fundraising now and giving it 2 months will give us enough time to raise money and organise!
