MOMO NEEDS YOUR HELP!

  • Fully Recovered!

I'd just like to say one more BIG Thank You to all that donated to Momos recovery. He is now pretty much back to himself, except when he has a big playfight with his sister and slightly over does it. he then promptly puts himself in his igloo for a couple of days to rest. He is still a bit sore but 99% there. We couldnt have managed without your help. It has inspired me to donate more regularly to other causes on Give a Little (spreading the love), most recently to the young children of Lawrance Bennett who was tragically killed in a car accident leaving his two young children behind with their mum stuck overseas while trying to finalise her residency. My heart goes out to those two little girls. Full story here https://www.tvnz.co.nz/one-news/new-zealand/immigration-nz-sorry-after-mum-separated-kids-following-husbands-death and dontate here https://givealittle.co.nz/cause/familychildren-of-lawrence-bennett. Let's spread love in lockdown!

Well its been a long road. after 6 weeks, Momo was finally able to leave the house unattended. He was as happy as a puss could be! Here he is having a good washdown from his sis.

Thank you all once again for your donations. We have one more procedure to go, which is taking out the pins in his foot. This will be on Tuesday, Then back inside for a couple of days to heal and then back to normal!!!!!!

And this is why we couldn't have him put down. She as well as us would be lost without him. She has looked after him the whole way through, she followed him around on his first day to make sure he didn't wander too far.

The latest vet visit today. Momo has had his cast removed and is now Sporting THE CONE OF SHAME. he is sore and very grumpy, but I keep reminding him, he's lucky to be alive. His sister CC is not too impressed with his new headgear. Thank you so much to everyone who has donated to the cause. It's the kind of journey you can't turn back on. We just have to keep going, but he is healing really well and we are keeping him occupied. His sister is by his side most days.

Vet again tomorrow. Possibly getting the cast off, fingers crossed. Then he can start having a bit of privacy in the bathroom again. It's very uncool to have your human holding your back end while you do the biz. We will both be relieved!!

Momo had a whole day at the vets yesterday. They cut his cast in half to check progress. Dr Penny said she is very pleased with his progress. He has had the back of his cast put back on possibly only for another week. She says he is healing really well. He came home and ate his own body weight in biscuits, dining with sister CC who was very pleased to see him. She gave him a wash and a slap across the face as she does. And he had a very comfortable night. Next vet visit set for Tuesday. Thank you to everyone who has donated so far, I am able to pay the vet to keep the progress going
