Please help Hannah to get the treatment she needs to prolong her life and spend more time with our precious family.
Hamilton, Waikato
Hannah, a kind hearted and fun-loving 39-year-old, is a loving mum, a devoted wife, treasured daughter and sister, and a cherished friend to many.
In January 2024, a simple eye test left Hannah diagnosed with ocular melanoma, a rare and aggressive form of cancer. In February 2024, Hannah underwent surgery to remove the tumour but sadly, a biopsy revealed the cancer to be a large aggressive tumour. Just ten months after her diagnosis, an MRI confirmed that the cancer had already metastasised to her liver.
Doctors have recommended chemo saturation as the best available treatment option, and while this may provide a better outcome for Hannah, it is not covered publicly in the UK where she is currently residing. The treatment is available at a cost of the equivalent of $90,000 per round, and Hannah may need up to six rounds.
This treatment could offer a potential extension to Hannah’s life and give her more time with her children & husband.
Hannah’s sister in law, Abi (a permanent resident of Aotearoa) has launched this campaign in the hope of raising some of the necessary funds to help the cost of this vital treatment. The doctors have told Hannah her time may be limited, with a prognosis of less than a year, but together we can give her a chance to fight for more time.
Every donation, no matter how small, will make a difference and bring hope to Hannah and her loved ones. Your generosity could help change the course of her fight.
Thank you for your kindness and support during this difficult time.
