Motorcycle Emptiness

It was my birthday, and after a family meal I decided to go for a night time ride on my Harley Davidson. While riding along a well lit main road at about 9:45PM, I took a look in my rear view mirror and noticed a speeding car, rapidly approaching. Before I knew it the car had struck me from behind and I was sliding along the ground. Luckily I stayed in my lane and was not run over. I was wearing protective clothing, which also spared me serious injury. The attending officer at the scene later told me that I slid for almost 200 metres. I was traveling at about 70 -75km/h (80km zone) and the car that hit me was traveling at at least 100km/h.

My body is doing ok, and I am recovering well. But my motorcycle suffered a lot of damage. Without insurance and with the police unable to find the culprits of the hit and run, I will need to raise the funds myself to fix my motorcycle.
