Raising funds to support Arlo's ongoing therapy and give him the best possible chance at movement and independence as he grows.

Arlo’s Story 💙
Our son Arlo is the strongest little boy we know.
At nearly 2 years old, Arlo has cerebral palsy caused by polymicrogyria, a condition that affects how his brain communicates with his body. While most children his age are learning to crawl, walk and explore, Arlo is still working incredibly hard to learn how to move.
Recently, Arlo spent a week at Centre of Movement in Rotorua, and the progress we saw in just that short time gave us so much hope. We saw what is possible for him with the right support.
But this is not a one time fix.
For Arlo to continue building strength, movement, and independence, he needs ongoing intensive therapy, especially while he is still young, when early intervention is critical.
Each 3 week therapy block costs around $10,000, not including travel and accommodation, and this is something Arlo will need multiple times.
That is why we have created MOVE FOR ARLO.
This June, we are asking people to do something they thought they could not, whether that is walking or running 100km, or taking on a personal challenge, and doing it for Arlo.
Our Goal is to raise $30,000 to help fund multiple intensive therapy blocks for Arlo. This is Ongoing, and every dollar helps us continue giving him the best chance at movement and independence.
For the ones who can’t, we move.
Thank you for supporting our boy 🤍
For transparency, you can view our previous fundraising page and Arlo's earlier progress https://givealittle.co.nz/cause/help-arlo-access-life-changing-therapy.
I am Arlo's mum and I am raising funds to support his therapy and future.
Funds Raised will go towards Arlo's intensive therapy at the centre of movement, as well as the travel and accommodation costs required for him to attend these ongoing therapy sessions.
