Movies for Teens 2018
Christmas is for teenagers too. Give a teenager the opportunity to go to the movies this summer!

We all know teenagers are hard to buy for. So we have partnered up with Rialto Cinemas Dunedin for the Movies for Teens campaign this Christmas.
Social workers have said ‘in families facing financial hardship, teenagers often feel left out of the Christmas festivities, with attention focussed on younger siblings’.
Help us buy movie tickets to give to teenagers who may have little else to look forward to this Christmas.
Your $10 donation will help a young person join in when invited out by friends, or even initiate a movie outing in the holidays. This is the fourth annual Movies for Teens and we have seen the positive effects the campaign has on vulnerable teens. Social workers have said ‘we have seen social empowerment and inclusion as teenagers are getting entry into all those conversations that happen after the holidays about the latest blockbuster’.

Presbyterian Support Otago works for a fair, just and caring community. Our services are available to all people in the Otago community, no matter their age, gender, religion or background.
Use of funds
100% of funds raised will be used to purchase movie tickets that will be distributed by PSOtago/Family Works to Dunedin teenagers who's parents are living under financial strain.
