The amazing food caravan

$10 of $10,000 goal

We need a cooking space for food tech/cooking. It will be our HUB cafe and for travelling sports teams. Enter the Mobile Caravan.

Auckland

Our school makes do with a multipurpose kitchen space which is shared by many but with our new build coming up we will lose the ability to use that space. We figure a couple of years. But our HUB has a strong interest in cooking and food technology / science and we want to keep going. So our Year 9-10 tech group came up with a food caravan idea. The plan is to renovate an old caravan as a cooking space, a potential lunch cafe and a mobile lunch service for our sports groups. We'd use the money to buy a reggistered caravan, renovate and purchase some equipment.

Our job as part of the tech team is to seek sponsorship and funding for our project. We are asking parents, the community, businesses for sponsorship and to support us through "givealittle".

2% Effective Fee
On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
