Resources to support Literacy!

Auckland

We’ve seen amazing progress in our kids’ reading and writing thanks to specialised support for our teachers. Teagan from Learning Matters works alongside our staff, showing, coaching, and guiding them in Structured Literacy.

To keep this going, we need your help. Every dollar raised will go towards continuing this programme so our teachers get the best support and our tamariki get the best chance to succeed.

About us

Onehunga Primary was established in 1873 and continues to play an integral part in the Onehunga community.

Our children represent about 25 ethnicities and they bring a richness of diversity to our school.

2% Effective Fee
On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
