Muffin needs eye surgery!

Muffin is a hand raised foster fail kitten. She is the absolute light of my life and brings joy to her many many fans and anyone who meets her.

Muffin was born with Micropthalmia and severe Entropian and is completely blind. As a result of these conditions, Muffin was experiencing back to back eye infections, pain, irritation and was generally miserable. When she was 6 months old my vet came up with a corrective procedure with the assistance of an ophthalmology specialist to try and correct the issues. We knew it was never going to be a permanent fix as she was still young and growing but we hoped it would buy her some pain free time. It was a huge success and the change in her appearance and personality was amazing! However it only lasted 6 months. After much debate we elected to try again when she was a year old. That surgery lasted 12 months. Muffin is now fully grown at 2kgs and is having difficulties with her eyes again. We have decided to try the surgery one last time before we look into the much more invasive and severe procedure of removing her eyes altogether.

When we decided to adopt her we knew that she would come with costs and i've never begrudged a dollar spent on her. Unfortunately due to my own ill health I am unable to work and what we would normally pay for ourselves and never dream of asking assistance for has become a problem. I am so embarrassed to ask for assistance but as a friend says "everyone needs a little help some times". I don't want to let my pride get in the way of Muffin receiving the care she needs.

The corrective procedure has been quoted at $400 and the more major surgery $1400.
