Help save this tiny ginger fighter
New Lynn, Auckland
On Wednesday, a tiny ginger kitten chose me to be her foster mum and rescuer. She was cowering in a drain pipe underneath a carpark ramp.
I rushed her to my vet where they checked her eyes, ears and nose. She seemed ok aside from being SEVERLY underweight. Estimated to be 5 months old but weighing only that of an 8 week old.
I took her home, bathed her, fed her and loved her.
Unfortunately, she has taken a sudden turn for the worse, I am currently fostering her so she is uninsured. She is at Ellerslie Vets now, on an IV and fighting for her life. We will have an idea of how she is responding in 24 hours. I can tell that she wants to live and I want to give her every possible chance.
The estimated vet bill at this stage is $600ish. I will do everything I can but any support for this tiny fighter would be greatly appreciated.
All donations will go to her vet bills. If there is excess, it will be donated to a rescue.
Muffin update 20 May 2023
She needed a hospital stay overnight and extra IV fluids. She also had x-rays to see if anything is wrong with her spine. Unfortunately this all incurred extra costs. Hoping to hear shortly how she went through the night and what the prognosis is moving forward.
Thank you so much, it's giving us the best chance at saving her ❤️
