Father of two kids with an inoperable brain tumour
Otago
The Mulder family are going through a traumatic time with dad/husband Geoff being told he has an inoperable Glioblastoma Multiforme brain tumour and a life expectancy of less than 12 months.
With two kids Carrera and Riker aged 7 & 5 he wants to make memories with his children and wife Steph and also make sure that they are looked after once he is gone.
As Geoff and Steph own their own business they are both unable to work as Steph has to care for her husband.
Six years ago Geoff was originally diagnosed with this tumor, which is on his brain stem and is inoperable. At the time he underwent radiation therapy which took a toll. Despite that he continued working while receiving treatment, continuing to support his family despite being physically exhausted by it (A fighter and a selfless provider). For the following six years the tumor appeared to be under control. Geoff and Steph built up a successful business and were nurturing a wonderful family. Life seemed to be on track.
Recently though, the tumor became much more aggressive, and now - receiving Radiation and Chemo therapies - Geoff is no longer able to work and he and his family face an uncertain road ahead. While they have some savings and immediate family will provide as much financial support as they can, additional support is still needed, particularly since government funding of the chemo drug only lasts for six months. Please donate a little if you can spare it, to give Geoff, his amazing and devoted wife and their two adorable children a bit of peace of mind in the financial department so they can focus on family time and health.
Thanks everyone for your contributions. Your generosity is amazing and is most gratefully received.
