Raising money for Rural Support Trust, by growing an epic mullet.
Nelson / Tasman
Rural Support Trust is pretty close to my heart in terms of how they have helped my family over the past few years. Not only have they helped my parents when they were struggling, but they've also got stuck in and helped my farming friends as well. These guys do so much for the farming community and a lot of them are farmers themselves volunteering their time to help others.
Righto, lets cut to the chase, what's happening this time?
Previously, I took myself and my dirtbike to extreme lengths racing a 4 hour Hard Enduro to raise money for the same cause, unfortunately I'm unable to do that this year so my partner is taking one for the team! Still keeping in with the 'extreme lengths' but on quite a different scale, Kyle is going to grow a sweet mullet for the month of September. There could be worse things he could be doing....right?? On the evening of the 31st August, Kyle's epic hairdresser Mel, will be shaping his noggin to sport the almighty mullet.
Originally, this idea came from an Aussie mental health charity called Black Dog Institute, and I was going to get Kyle to participate in that but it felt right to bring it home and give back to a charity that is personal to us.
So, in the words of Fred Dagg, kick 'er in the guts Trev! Flick a few of your pennies through the interwebs and donate to this cause! Especially if you're from the farming world, you never know when you might need these guys. And make sure if you do, that you contact them! They're there to help, and want to help!
