Dear all,
Thank you all very much for helping us support this fight against cancer.
My mum fought very bravely till the last minute. She was shifted to Medical ICU a few days back and was in life-support, but she didn't give up.
23/01 is my parents' anniversary. This year it was their 40th marriage anniversary. My dad managed to present her a bunch of roses and my mum mustered a smile too.
Her condition deteriorated from 24/01, and there were talks of getting consent to remove her from the ventilator, but my Dad could not say a definite "yes"- how could he?
On 25/01, however, she silently slipped away during her mid-day nap (around 8PM NZT). The death certificate reads "cardiac respiratory arrest", but I feel it should read "liberation from pains".
It has been a tough few months for us, and every one of you and your near and dear ones have been a very crucial part of this journey for us. Your donations, kind words and strength has been a huge positive for us. I will always be very thankful for all the support.
I will close this donation page in sometime. Please do remember my mother in your prayers.
Love you all.
Warm regards,
Venk
So sorry for your loss Venk! Your mother was indeed a fighter right until the very end. My heart is with you all during this difficult time. May she Rest In Peace. Sending love and virtual hugs to you and your family!
Thank you Audrey.
Hello all..
Thanks a lot for being so kind to us in our fight. My mum wanted to wish you all a very happy new year and say that "because of your and your friends (referring to you all) efforts, I have seen the date 01/01 once again in my life! God bless you all."
Thanks again everyone, really appreciate all your help. God bless you all.
Love,
Venk
Dear all,
Thanks a lot all for all the support and help that you have showered upon us. I am highly indebted to you all.
With your kind and blessed support, we could carry out radiation therapy for the brain and the pelvis region and chemotherapy to curtail further spread of cancer, but due to tremendous pain in the lower back, my mum had to undergo an MRI and a new lesion was identified in the L1 vertebrae region today.
Even a tumor in the vertebrae can potentially be life-threatening, but with a cancerous lesion, urgent medical attention is very crucial. I am doing my best to send funds for targeted radiation therapy, but I am still falling short.
I know you have all done your best, and please do not get me wrong, but I am honestly reaching out only because this is a very vital do or die situation. Those of you who know me will definitely agree I have very rarely (if ever) asked for personal favours, but desperate times call for desperate measures. Please help us out.
I sincerely request you to please dig a bit deeper in your pocket and/or spread the word. Any help is welcome help and will never be forgotten.
Thanks heaps and may God bless you all.
Love,
Venk
