On behalf of mum and her whanau, we would like to say thank you to all our friends and whanau who have kindly donated. We are very overwhelmed and beyond grateful for the love and support shown. Your kind donation has made this uphill batter for mum and her whanau a little easier and a little weight off the shoulders. We are forever grateful and we thank each and everyone from the bottom of our hearts.

    Update on mum..

Mum has completed 4 cycles of chemo and has responded really well with only one set back. After her 2nd cycle of chemo, her white blood cell count took 3 weeks to recover which meant a delay in treatment and 1 out of the 3 chemo treatments she is taking was lessen from 100% to 75%. Other than this, she has had little to no other side effect after the following 2 treatments.

We are winning! Mums last CT scan showed, since we have started the chemo treatment, her cancer in under control (stopped growing rapidly), and surprisingly has shrunken which is the best news to date because it means; the treatment plan is working and mums living timeline just got a little longer. We are still faced with, this treatment is to prolong mums life but not a cue (so we are told), but we will take the win, big or small.

Mum has a PICC line in her arm which she uses for her chemo treatments. Next week she will be having surgery to put a port line in her chest to free her arms to do more things but mostly shower easier.

    Forever grateful whanau and friends,

    Nga mihi nui katoa.
