Murphy needs help

  • Another vet cisit

      11 March 2020

    Hi guys,

We had a small hiccup and Murphy had to be admitted to the vet's for monitoring as he was throwing up and had diarrhea. We have him on some new food for easy digestion and have worked him so I am hoping that it's all sorted now.

He will have his stitches out next week. Then it'll be his vaccinations next...wow it's a bit full on that's for sure 😁

Thank you all again for your support 🙏

    Hi everyone,

Wanted to update you on Murphys progress. His walking is completely normal now, aside from when he's being a clumsy kitten.

He went to the vet last week, unfortunately some of his stitches had become infected. So they decided to open his stitches and clean it all again and re-stitch.

He was prescribed different antibiotics so hopefully this will sort him out.

The wonderful vet did the work for free and only charged me for the antibiotics which was a really lovely thing to do. Big shout out to Pt Chevalier veterinary care!!!

I think his ongoing vet fees will only be for when he gets vaccinated and the when he gets fixed and microchipped.

He is a very loving wee kitten and the vet nurses loved him while he was there for the day, I definitely don't think he was short on cuddles.

A big big thank you to you all for helping with Murphy's treatment and ongoing costs. His vet bills to date are $265, I will attach reciepts with the next update.

He will have his next visit to the vet on the 18th March.

    Thank you all. 🐱🐾

    Hi everyone,

Wanted to update you in how he is doing.

What an absolutely darling wee kitten he is. He has really come out of his shell and is starting to play and act like he should.

His walking is still not quite normal but I am hoping that is just his age and the stitches restricting his leg movement. Will update once he has another vet consultation in a week or so.

He is very loving and knows who I am now, he has started purring and smooching into my face of I get down low to him.

He is a smart we kitten and was using his litter tray from the first day so that is great.

We have him downstairs in our bedroom in a big animal cage to keep him out of mischief and contained to help him heal quicker hopefully. I get him out as often as I can and let him wander and explore.

He hasn't met the other pets yet, will take that slowly over the next month when he is fully healed and a bit bigger. He is seriously just soo wincy, he's adorable 🥰
