Murph is going well, no seizures since his meds and he’s creating havoc like a normal puppy at home! Our CT Scan is 8th December so that is the day we hear what is definitely going on with Murph.

I just wanted to pop in to thank you all so much for your on going support in our bid to do everything we can to ensure our Murph has the best life possible. He really is a special wee boy and honestly we cannot thank you all enough for your love, hope, donations and support

Love Victoria, Louie, Murphy & The Crew x

My dog Tigger went blind with cataracts and I did have pet insurance but it did not cover the eyes so I had to try and find the money. Due to Tigger's age I had to get money together quickly and Give A Little page fundraising was too slow. Luckily I found a finance company who funded the cataract surgery and other costs. Any money I get through Give A Little goes towards the loan that has interest attached. The eye specialist I took Tigger to was Dr Kellam Bayley in Wellington who was amazing. He is an amazing specialist and brilliant to deal with. If you decide to get an eye specialist to look at Murphy I recommend Kellam Bayley.

  • Murph Update Saturday 14th November

      14 November 2020

Murph had to go on more medication yesterday on top of his seizure meds

His compulsive circling is a sign usually seen in older dogs so it is very concerning

Unfortunately we cannot know the exact cause or plan of action until his CT Scan which is booked for 25th November

    We love you Murph!

Please keep sharing this page beautiful hoomans!

We are beyond grateful and have no words for your generosity when this year has been a struggle for most.

We will pay it forward, we can promise you that!

  • Murph Update

    Hi Team Murph! MURPH UPDATE!

Murph had a range of tests at VSG today and the results are now coming in tomorrow

We are in the edge of our seats but hopeful!

We have been booked in for an MRI Scan on the 25th or 26th November and we will then get the absolute results we need to take further action

The cost of this treatment is huge, but he is under the best possible care, and he has also been placed in anti-seizure meds 3 x daily for a month until we can get to the bottom of his condition

Turns out he has partial vision and the blindness is looking like it is secondary.

Until then we would love everyone to keep sharing our Givealittle page as every little bit really helps towards Murphy’s treatment which has been quoted (so far) at $3500.00 (Plus the $1000 today for consults and tests) so your support has been so gratefully received!

The cost of the tests / procedures to be undertaken at VSG include to the end of the day:

    - IV catheter placement

    - General anaesthetic maintenance and monitoring

    - Specialist imaging (MRI)

    - In-hospital medications and administration

    - Nursing care and monitoring

    - Day-stay hospitalisation and care

If anyone has any great fundraising ideas please do let me know! We would love to keep the momentum going!

This ones for you Murph! We love you!

Hi Tori, The Crew and most of all Murph.

The team at VSA are amazing. I have just has final sign of on my boy Teddy who had to have both knees on back legs operated on. He is a retriever. I cannot rate the team highly enough. They are wonderful and care so much for the animal.

Good luck Murph. We wish you well.

      Donna (Simba, Teddy and Nayla).
