We are hoping to raise enough funds to help cover specialist costs for Murphy’s recovery to live a full & healthy life with his hooman pack.
Auckland
Murphy is our 12 week old border collie.
He was born blind and the vet suggested he be put to sleep because of this.
His breeder, Penteronda Border Collies did not want this and decided to find Murph the perfect forever home.
We saw this wee man on a post on Facebook and we did not hesitate, as we already own a beautiful Collie Huntaway and thought Louie would be a perfect match for Murph, and we wanted to give him the forever home he deserved!
In the past two weeks Murphy has started to have seizures, which the vet has referred us to a specialist for (Vet Specialist Group in Mt Albert, Auckland) assuming it is neurological.
We are due for his first visit on Thursday 12th November and expect this to be a lengthy & expensive process. Our pet insurance is up in the air as they have said it’s caused from a pre-existing condition so we have decided to reach out to the public for help.
We are not sure of total cost yet, but we know it will be in the thousands. While we are able to contribute as much as we can we just need some added support from the public for Murph. Our current vet bill is $292.
We want to give Murphy the opportunity to live a quality life like any other dog out there. We want to fight for this little guy and give him everything he deserves in life.
We own and run Chewy Louis and the News NZ’s Organic Dog Bakery and the following for Murphy and the outpouring of love & hope has been immense! We share his story daily on our Facebook & Instagram Pages.
To some, Murphy may be just a dog but to us, Murphy is our baby, our family member and he is loved beyond words.
We thank you so much in advance for your support.

Murph is going well, no seizures since his meds and he’s creating havoc like a normal puppy at home! Our CT Scan is 8th December so that is the day we hear what is definitely going on with Murph.
I just wanted to pop in to thank you all so much for your on going support in our bid to do everything we can to ensure our Murph has the best life possible. He really is a special wee boy and honestly we cannot thank you all enough for your love, hope, donations and support
