MTG Raise the Roof Campaign
While everyone loves the musical Singing in the Rain, nobody likes singing in the actual rain! Help! We need a new roof!
Gisborne
The roof at the Musical Theatre Gisborne Clubrooms at 99 Innes Street has been leaking. At first, it was a couple of drips here and there. But now, there are buckets strategically placed all over the building to catch as much of the water as we can that is seeping into the building. We are scrambling to protect our props and costumes and tools and scenery. Something has to be done soon or we will lose our precious clubrooms, forever!
The clubrooms serve as our meeting, rehearsal, costume, prop, and scenic shop space. But more than that, it has a small stage that allows MTG to produce smaller shows that are not suitable, or fiscally feasible, in a proper Gisborne Council theatre. Without this space, we basically lose our ability to create great theatrical performances for and with our community.
We have received three bids for this project, and average cost to repair the roof for proper drainage and better longevity is around $15,000.00! We need YOUR help!

Funds will be used 100% for the installation of a new roof over Musical Theatre Gisborne's Clubrooms at 99 Innes St. Since we have no administrative staff, and low administrative costs, we can guarantee that your full donation will help put roof back over our heads!

Hey there amazing MTG supporters! Our committee has decided that it would be more expeditious, cost effective, and prudent at this time to repair, rather than replace, our leaky roof. So the good news is that we only have to raise $15,000 instead of $60,000!
But the clock is really ticking! In order to beat the next big rains come autumn, we need to have the funding in place by the first of the year. That means we need to reach our goal by December 26th.
