Raising money for Mikey Jones to attend IRATA Level 1 International Certificate
Auckland
Kia Ora whānau.
Katie, Mikey’s partner here.
As most of you know, myself and Mikey moved home to Aotearoa at the start of last year after experiencing housing instability in Naarm. Being home and among whānau is a gift, but the job economy is the worst it’s ever been. Mikey has been applying for work, hundreds of jobs, since we arrived home but so far no luck. Since then, we have welcomed our second baby earth side.
After attending a Jobseeker financed working at heights and mobile work platforms course, Mikey realised there are many well paid, available jobs within the sector if he attains a further qualification. Whilst I’m not stoked he wants to hang off the side of buildings, the opportunity for us to get ourselves off the ground and employed again is essential.
For mikey to start within this field, he needs to complete one more qualification - IRATA Level 1 International Certificate, an out of pocket $2k.
You all know Mikey, our joyful, cheeky, knowledgeable, friendly and loving uncle, brother and friend. I know he’d be so grateful for the opportunity to fund this course and be in a better position to help his small family.
Thank you.
Mikey Jones is my partner.
The money will be spent on IRATA Level 1 International Certificate.
