JP collected Maverick a few minutes ago. He said it’s a shock to see him like this… he’s still very dopey and can’t walk very well but he’s eating. :)
Thank you SO much to everyone who has donated, shared, or simply sent wishes for Maverick. JP is truly speechless by the outpouring of love everyone’s shown him.
Due to the urgency, Maverick has gone in for surgery to amputate his leg this morning. He will have a fairly long recovery and no doubt some new challenges to his neighborhood adventures.
We haven't reached the goal yet for the funds to cover costs, but the vet required payment on drop off, so JP has taken out a loan to cover it. If you are able to assist by sharing this page further that would be a huge help.

The tumour is about the size of a grapefruit (double what shows there) as it goes all the way through to the other side. His leg will be amputated at the hip. 😿
