My beautiful, much loved Birman, Mocha, was rushed to the vet suddenly because of kidney failure on 31/05/21 . She has had bloods done and was put on iv fluids. She had the worse blood test results the vets had ever seen. The vet spent 4 days & 3 nights doing everything they could to try & save Mocha's life. On the 03/06/21, Mocha died of medical issues due to the kidney failure. Mocha was not just a much loved pet but she has been my very helpful service animal. I am at least 60% deaf and don't have hearing aids and my hearing is getting worse. Mocha use to let me know when the washing machine or dishwasher was beeping or when the oven light went out, when it has heated, or someone was at the door or an earthquake was going to happen (she save my life back in 2010 & 2011).
Mocha had never been sick before. She was my best friend and companion and has always been wherever I am. During lockdown she kept me from being lonely. Mocha was my whole world. We are based in Ashburton, NZ where the terrible flooding happened & losing Mocha was devastating, especially while during a week our town was in Civil Defence Emergency.
The vet bill came to $745.10. It's been a stressful time and this vet bill is going to be a massive struggle to pay. I can't work so I am on supported living benefit because of hearing loss and other disabilities. I need help to pay the vet bill and help to buy a new birman kitten to be my new service animal and companion. Latest photo is new kitten Aria Dreams.
To pay vet bills that were caused from trying to save her life. Any excess funds will go towards a new birman kitten to keep me company and to be my ears because I am 60% deaf.
Thank you 22 March 2022

Thank you so much Rebecca for your very generous donation. I have contacted Mocha's breeder and have asked for another female birman kitten. Have decided to name her Aria Dreams.
