My Daughter’s Fight with Microcephaly

Blessed day to all of you. I would like to share the journey of my Daughter Erica Jhane Arambulo,14 years old, fighting of having a Microcephaly with Cerebral Palsy. She's in the Philippines at the moment.

At the age of 2, Her Pediatrician have diagnosed her to have this Microcephaly with Cerebral Palsy because of the delayed milestone and the head circumference is not on the normal range as well. She can’t speak and walks tip-toe on her right foot. At this age as-well started the Epileptic Seizure and was on and off the hospital. She was been referred to a Pediatric Neurologist and undergo through MRI and EEG. She was been prescribed of an anti-convulsant medicine (Depakene Valporic Acid) as a maintenance.

November 2021, The Cardiologist diagnosed her to have Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM) after doing the Electrocardiogram (ECG) and 2D Echocardiography. She've went through Alcohol Septal Ablation as a treatment.

She is also closely monitored by an OB-GYN as she has a Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS). She’s experiencing heavy periods and blood clots during her Menstruation

November 2023, The Cardiologist have seen a problem, a leak on her Mitral valve and went for MirtaClip procedure.

And last December 2023, she was been diagnosed to have a Stage 2 Chronic Kidney Disease. Her Nephrologist prescribed to take Finerenone 20 Mg once a day.
