We have lost my grandfather and grandmother to COVID-19 and my father is also fighting the same illness.

Nationwide

My father has been fighting the COVID-19 virus for a few weeks now and have developed complications due to it. He’s condition have worsened and now under suspicion that he experienced a stroke and a heart attack while undergoing recovery treatment for the virus. We are a small family with very minimal means. We have already lost both my grandfather and my grandmother, after heavy expenses trying to save her life, to the COVID-19 virus. These two previous losses have devastated not only my family’s emotional and mental strength as well as our financial means. We as a family are asking for any help big or small to help cover my father’s medical expenses.

2% Effective Fee
On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
