My Life in Motion

Hi there, my name is Georgiana Lupescu, and I am using this Givealittle page to raise funds for me to get a mobility scooter.

In 2012 I suffered a stroke which left me having to completely relearn how to live without the use of my left side. After years of persistence, rehabilitation and hard-won battles against stroke induced weakness, I have adapted to regain self-independence and complete daily functions unaided. But unfortunately, I still have severe left side weakness, with my left arm completely unusable, and my lupus and fibromyalgia mean I am unable to leave my home myself without severe pain and exhaustion, so I need a support worker to push me in my wheelchair if I want to leave my home. I cannot go to the supermarket, pharmacy, or visit friends and family without assistance. Recently I tried an electric scooter to see if I would be able to use it, and the experience was honestly life changing. The freedom of being able to get myself places in the chair made me feel like the person I was before my stroke, it made me feel like me, like I could be part of society again. I am planning to work, save and fundraise for as long as it takes to make my dream a reality and get an electric scooter.

Please help me regain my independence and no longer be housebound. Anything you can give will make a difference, no matter how large or small, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for helping me get my life back.
