My Lucie needs surgery

So if any of you remember the huge storm on the 3rd of Jan which terrorized the entire North Island, my silly doggo went for a wander in the storm and came back with a very broken leg, feeling extremely sorry for herself. Unfortunately I have spent the last 3 years pursuing a career in clinical psychology and living on student loans, overdrafts and the generosity of others, and haven't had the time for even a part time job. I acquired my doggy entirely by accident and was very worried as a student I wouldn't be able to afford her, and what do you know I get hit with a $1500 vet bill. Initially I decided to chuck it on a credit card and pay it off slowly with my allowance as I continue my studies this year, however I have been convinced to try this out as student allowance is barely enough to live and I'm already drowning in debt so here goes!!!
