My Project for Wanda Goodman Christian International School

I’m a girl from New Zealand volunteering in Ghana for 6 months. I’m teaching in Wanda Goodman Christian International School; a small day and boarding school in Akim Achiase; a small town in the Eastern Region of Ghana. I’ve set up this give a little page as with the help of my old school (St Oran’s College), I am going to build a new bathroom block for the boarders at Wanda. Their current toilets are broken and filthy. The boarders use toilets of families around the school, meanwhile the day students use their showers as urinals. This means, the boarders have to shower in other people’s faeces. With the new bathroom block, it will be much easier for the boarders to keep clean and hygienic. It will be just for their use so they will be in charge of keeping it clean and tidy. Any extra money raised will go towards pens, pencils, textbooks and other school resources.
