Support our Rescue Puppy after two major surgeries and ongoing vet bills (so we could keep him alive and well).

Rusty came to us a rescue puppy through Saving Hope Foundation.
He is a beautiful placid boy who got hip dysplasia at 9 months old. He has had to have a DPO ( Double Pelvis Osteotomy - where bones are broken and his leg is reapplied into the hip socket ) $10,000 of surgery plus $5k in checkups, scans, physio etc. for his first operation. We believe that when you take on an animal you take on their care for life and he has become such an integral part of our family, we had no hesitation in getting a loan and going ahead with the surgery so he has a better life. While we thought he had done everything right and taken out insurance - hip dysplasia is not covered so we are left with a huge loan.
The 1st surgery went well but afterwards, sadly his pelvic bone broke from the pressure of his new plate so he was rushed back to the Vet. Euthanasia or surrendering Rusty was not an option to consider for our beautiful boy and surgery is now being done again at an additional cost of $5k+. Costs will continue for further medication, scans, physio and check ups.
We are hoping and praying this one will work and our beautiful boy will lead a happy normal life.

Rusty is on his way to recovery and will now live a semi normal life, but a happy life. He will always have stiffness and pain and continue his hydrotherapy each month alongside doing his exercises. We can't thank you all enough for your kindness and support financially, and emotionally for those that know us well. We are so grateful for every dollar we have received and it has all gone to his loan or covered one of his hydro treatments. We still have $20.7k to pay off his loan, which we will continue to do each month. But your support adding upto $5.2k for Rusty is just truly incredible, and we will repay this kindness to others in the future.
